How Much Does an Egypt Trip Cost in 2027?

Start with a comparable price

Two Egypt tour prices can look similar while covering very different holidays. One may include domestic flights, entrance tickets and an Egyptologist; another may cover accommodation and transportation with sightseeing charged separately. Compare the full itinerary before comparing the final number.

The table below shows The Egyptologist’s published Standard and Comfort package prices. These are our own offers, not a market-wide average or a promise that every departure is available at the same price. All figures are in USD per person, based on two people sharing a room. Your written quotation confirms availability and the final arrangements.

What is included in these Egypt tour packages?

Our listed multi-day programs include the accommodation, domestic flights, ground transportation, transfers and sightseeing entrance fees described in the selected itinerary. An Egyptologist or tour guide is dedicated to your private party or departure group throughout the trip in Egypt. All Nile cruise stays are full board: breakfast, lunch and dinner during the cruise stay.

Hotel meal plans and other included meals must be read separately. Full board on a cruise does not mean that every meal during the entire holiday is included. The exact hotels, vessel, cabin or room category and services are confirmed in your proposal; cruise names and Hurghada hotel names are currently pending confirmation.

Abu Simbel by land on Day 5 is now included in both Standard and Comfort 10-night programs, for private and group travel. The excursion includes the round-trip road journey from Aswan and the temple visit described in the itinerary. It is not included in our seven-night base programs.

What should you budget for separately?

International flights, entry visas, travel insurance, beverages, tips, personal spending and meals not expressly included sit outside our published package prices. Optional activities and separately ticketed interiors also cost extra unless your confirmed program specifically includes them.

For example, our Comfort 10-night program includes entry inside the Great Pyramid of Cheops and into Tutankhamun’s tomb. Do not assume those entries are included in every Standard package or in every tour sold elsewhere. Ask for the ticketed visits to be written out before paying.

Private tours or small group tours?

A private Egypt tour is reserved for your own party and can be planned around your dates. Our small group multi-day tours have fixed departure dates and operate with 8–16 participants in total. You can request a place as a solo traveler, a couple or a group of friends; the minimum applies to the entire departure.

Choose privately when flexibility matters most. Consider a group when the scheduled route suits you and you want to share the journey. Single-room arrangements and supplements are quoted separately, so solo travelers should request their actual room price rather than assuming a twin-sharing rate applies.

How much do Egypt day tours cost?

Daily Tours use a different pricing model. Our published day-tour prices include road transportation and an English-speaking Egyptologist only. Admission tickets, meals, boat transfers and other expenses are excluded. Private daily tours require at least two travelers. Group daily tours have separate rates for 3–5 and 6–16 participants.

A low day-tour price therefore cannot be compared directly with a package that includes tickets and meals. Use the Daily Tours page to check the exact excursion and ask us to confirm the total for your party.

A practical way to set your budget

Choose your trip length first, then your preferred accommodation category and travel format. Add your international flights and the excluded expenses, and tell us which optional experiences matter to you. This produces a more useful Egypt vacation budget than multiplying an arbitrary daily allowance.
